“Passion”

Myles Jordan professed his love of the arts, the ability to take criticism, and continue onward towards your goals on our podcast this week. He inspired this piece on the humanity found within listening to your intuitions despite the dangers one might face. Courage and passion are what help us grow and those aspects of ourselves can be found in creation.

“Bringing Down The Walls”

Katt Smith came in for an interview this week and brought her thoughts on division, exclusion, and the confidence to continue when faced with doubt. Her works contain her whole being and tells her story with every brushstroke.

“Raising The Supports”

The third blog post on August Northcut

“Coming Home”

Parting the fog of obscurity searching for the bright idea of the people within.

This is the first blog post for the Lou Rae Gallery, where I introduce an outsider’s perspective on the city of Louisville and its cultural scene. I provide a brief historical background as well as insight into how those outside the boundaries of Jefferson County and Kentucky might imagine the city from what they have read or seen.
Along with these insights, there is a descriptive account of how people interact with the culture here in Kentucky and how we at Lou Rae Gallery want to expand their opportunities and access to art. This will be a weekly release recounting any events or highlighting any new art we install within the gallery. Check in regularly to stay updated on what is happening in the gallery!
